“Spam, please!”, the 1st edition of Broken Phone, is a series of spam emails. The common response from the writers to the object was that (a) it stung, so it was hurtful and unwanted but (b) you still want it because it holds things together. You need it.
With this in mind, we decided to produce a series of spam emails. Emails that annoy you and sting you and are by nature annoying, but that you still need to survive. The spam mails you wished for are quick fixes for your broken life. They will put it together, but be careful - they might hurt. In a world where digital links are the only type of connection possible, how can you bond with someone in a meaningful way? Our answer was spam.
